Worship is changing at the church. Adding Hypster for the team to review

December 7, 2009 we had a fire at the car wash in Luna Pier. Damage was contained to the equipment room and actually, when the fire burnt a hole in a water line, the water put the fire out. The fire dept was disappointed. We are still cleaning up and getting ready to re-open as soon as possible.

This is a busy month for us. We are planning the grand re-opening of our Car Wash business, trying to get a little vacation time at the cottage, helping organize our community festival and most important, getting ready for the wedding of our youngest. Life is good in spite of ridiculous gas prices, poor economy, and terrible housing market. I'm blessed with family, health, and eternal life. The kids are almost all college graduates and the grandkids are growing fast!! With these blessings, I can even handle my flooded basement, Gotta bail it out now.

Niki on her 21st B-day. This is my youngest and her finance, Peter. By her next b-day she will be married. I'm feeling rather lonely as all my kids are grown. I'm loving my grandkids but miss my own children. Is this the empty nest syndrome?

I recently went through a total hip replacement surgery. I really didn't consider myself old enough to have that procedure done. The pictures in the pamplets they gave me confirmed that I should be at least 20 years older. That was depressing. I think those pamplets should all feature people in their 30's doing the exercises. That way, even if I were 20 years older, I would feel good about seeing pictures of young healthy people. I used my color pencils to color all the gray hair and to give hair to the balding men. Then I felt better!! My Dr. says I'm doing great and I will be able to do lots of walking, bike riding and playing of my favorite sport, Volleyball. But my Dr also said the scar is only 4 inches. It's 6 and 1/2?!! I hope he is a better Dr. than he would be a carpenter. My husband is a carpenter among other things. We built our home in 2004-05. We've been here 1 year now. Here is a picture.

My daughter set up this blog for me. My favorite place in the world is Hawaii. But I really haven't been to very many places in the world. Once you've been to Hawaii you may be like me and not want to go anywhere else. Here is one of my pictures from Hawaii. My kids all think I talk too much about Hawaii. But they haven't been there---YET!!!
